What's Great About Duracable Drain Cleaning Equipment

4th Mar 2022

Duracable sewer and drain cleaning machines stand above the competition because they are built on a classic, time-tested design. Focusing not on adding on the latest bells and whistles, avoiding unnecessary features that could break or get in the way, Duracable machines are no-nonsense workhorses built to last.

The design of Duracable machines goes back to 1935 when Samuel O. Blanc first invented the electric drain machine. Refinements and perfections have been implemented since then, but the basics of this highly-functional and durable machine have remained relatively unchanged.

In the drain cleaning industry, Duracable machines are used by skilled technicians to clear obstructions from residential and commercial drain lines. A variety of machines are available in vertical/uprighthorizontal/sled style, or smaller portable sink machines, each suited to a specific drain line diameter range from 1-1/4 to 10 inches.

All but the smallest Duracable machines have a built-in or optional power cable feed and return. Standard safety features on all machines include an air foot pedal, GFCI, and through-the-frame wiring.

Duracable knows that drain techs like their machines the way they like it, so custom options are available. Easy-drying open spoke metal reels or lightweight splatter-free enclosed polyethylene drums are available, and several cable diameters and lengths can be used with most machines. Choose male or female end fittings, specify your tail piece, and even pick the rotation direction of the revolving arm on the machine.

Hollow-core drain cable is the standard style included with all machines, but specialty cable can be substituted, including inner core, loose-wound hollow core, loose wound inner core, cable-in-cable, bulb head or open hook. Duracable’s knowledgeable sales reps can talk customers through which cables will work best in their machine. Key features of Duracable’s DuraFlex cable are its longevity and repairability. If the cable kinks or breaks, it’s easy to cut out the damaged part and splice the two ends back together. Duracable has an easy-to-follow video on their YouTube channel explaining this simple repair.

Many drain machines come with a warranty, but Duracable machines lead the industry with a two-year or even a three-year warranty on some models. All Duracable machines, cables and blades are made in the USA.

“The DM55 is the Cadillac and hotrod that I love,” says customer Tyler Lindsey “there’s nothing like it!”

David Barriage of Flow-Rite Plumbing & Drain prefers model DM175, saying it’s the best in tight spots.

Most customers agree that Duracable machines are built to last and a great buy for the money. They’re the tried-and-true industry standard machines that won’t let you down.
