How to install end fittings on DuraFlex drain cable

29th Apr 2022

Duracable’s EZ-Lock tools, along with your drill, make it easy to install end fittings on any size and type of drain cable. No welding, and no pliers needed!

1.Anchor cable and in a vise with at least one inch extended.

2.Center punch the end of the cable to spread the first ring so that the threads catch more easily.

3.Put the appropriate size EZ-Lock tool in your drill.

4.Put the end fitting into the EZ-Lock tool.

5.Apply Loctite primer then retaining compound.

6.Power the end fitting into the cable.

Within seconds your end fitting is installed. That was easy!

Some helpful hints:

  • Ensure a clean cut on the cable end, and remove any burrs with a grinding disc or file.
  • Spray Loctite primer in and around the cable end and on the end fitting to thoroughly remove grease and grime.
  • Installation without the EZ-Lock system can be accomplished with our wrench #EW by manually screwing the fitting into the cable end.
