Hollow-Core Cable - Left Wound
Our DuraFlex Hollow Core cable is the favorite among most service
technicians. We manufacture it from a proprietary, hard-drawn, hightensile
strength wire in a variety of diameters, lengths and flexible
characteristics to fit every application. Hollow core cable is available
is all cable diameters and can be purchased as standard cable, loose
wound, or oil tempered.
Loose wound cable allows for more movement than the standard cable
as it is more flexible which makes it easier to maneuver tight corners.
The oil-tempered cable (11/16” and 3/4” only) are made from a stiff wire
that was developed for the auto industry to be used in valve springs.
The stiff wire makes the cable stronger and more rigid than standard
inner core cable. The oil-tempered cable is used for long, straight runs
where there are few traps to negotiate.
